Some people evidently didn’t realize it yesterday, but the election was over and Barack Obama was, indeed, the 44th President of the United States. There is no longer anything anyone can do about Obama’s lack of experience, the strange way he won both that first election to the Illinois State Senate or when his Republican opponents mysteriously self-destructed in his race for the U.S. Senate. His relationship with human sludge like Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright is no longer an issue. He won. He won in spite of the blemishes on his record, his decidedly leftist ideas, and his cadre of frightening friends. He is now the president. Whether you voted for him or not, he is your president and he is going to have a huge affect on your life, your finances, you job and your future. No .. I can’t say that I’m particularly happy that Barack Obama is president. I would have preferred Mike Huckabee or Mitt Romney. But now, as I said yesterday, I find myself truly hoping that Barack Obama becomes the best president this country has ever had. He’s going to have a tough time withstanding the pressures that will be brought to bear by people like Nancy Pelosi and the MoveOn.org crowd.
